So the bar in yours doesn't fit too tightly? I measured the arm with a pair of calipers, and it came out to 0.198 diameter. I used a set of pin gages to measure the hole in the block and it came out...

The reason I am considering the enlarging the hole in the versus grinding down the arm is because I measured my other Wilkinson trem arm, and it measures the same as the new one, so I know the issue...

Rework done. Drilled the bushing out on a lathe using a 0.201 drill bit. Reassembled the bridge and the bushing required the tension set screw to be turned in about a half turn to take all the slack...

That's the 'vintage correct' model. You want one that specifically says 5 + 1, steel block. It will have the 2 1/8" string spacing.
